Launching a new destination for today’s travellers

What does the future of travel look like? We created a whitepaper that would get jet-setters excited for their next trip with Amadeus.

Amadeus were ahead of the pack when it came to destination services, so The Think Tank needed to move fast to create promotional assets that would grab the attention of digital-first young travellers.

The challenge

Amadeus wanted to show off the benefits of its new dynamic travel service, Destination X, that enabled users to book flights, accommodation, trips and experiences all in one place while on holiday.

This largely untapped source of revenue needed a bit of explaining and a persuasive angle to get the target audiences – business and leisure travel agencies – to sit up and take notice.

Our solution

We chose a whitepaper supported by infographics, cinemographs, teaser content pieces and social media graphics to put this handy new platform in front of Amadeus’ audiences.

Using research, interviews and insights from customers and key travel industry sources, The Think Tank created a report that introduced travel agents to a useful solution for time-poor travellers who want the experience of a lifetime but don’t know where to start: Destination X. Talking them through the new ancillary destination services, the whitepaper promoted the platform alongside an in-depth discussion of timely topics, like the huge impact of mobile devices on travel.

The paper was designed to sit neatly with Amadeus’ existing collateral, combining the Amadeus branding to ensure a coherent look and feel with enticing images of holidaymakers.

 

The results

Strong creative built on meaningful insight played out across a combination of media channels to deliver phenomenal results and an enduring brand property for our client. With 17 nominations and five award wins to its name, the campaign’s industry recognition speaks volumes.
